PROGRAM:
Arrival and overnight stay in Zermatt. Briefing with your mountain guide at the ZERMATTERS Homebase at 5pm.
Day 1
9.00am Meeting point at the bottom station of the Matterhorn Express. Ride in the gondola to Schwarzsee at 2‘587m. Ski down towards Stafelalp at 2‘200m with a 2 hour ascent to Schönbielhütte at 2‘694m over the northern part of the flat Zmutt glacier.
Day 2
After a short ascent (+ 15min.), a somewhat steep descent to the Zmutt glacier awaits you, 200m above the moraine slope. Along the torn shore of the Tiefmatten glacier and past the foot of the Stockji rock face to the glacier plateau of Tiefmatten, the beautiful ascent begins. Roped to your mountain guide, you cross the glacier to the upper glacier plateau towards Col de la Tête Blanche 3'589m and continue to the summit of Tête Blanche 3'710m.
Now the scenic descent to the village of Arolla is waiting for you. After a well-deserved break you make your way home or we can organise a transfer back to Zermatt.
REQUIREMENTS:
You have done various ski tours before, feel comfortable skiing in off-piste terrain and are in good physical shape.
RATE:
In a group:
CHF 520.00 per person
Inclusive:
- two days with a ZERMATTERS mountain guide
- overnight at Schönbiel hut incl. half board.
ADDITIONAL COST:
- Equipment. Some of the equipment can be rented directly at ZERMATTERS
- Picnic
