DURATION:
- 1st day about 5–7 hours hike to the Dent Blanche hut from Ferpècle (Val d’Herens).
- 2nd day about 5 hours ascent & 4 hours descent to the Dent Blanche hut. From there, the hike back down to Ferpècle takes about 5 hours.
- Return to Zermatt.

PROGRAM:
- Travel by car or taxi (possibly public transports) together with your mountain guide to Ferpècle in the Val d’Herens
- From Ferpècle, you walk up to the Dent Blanche Hut (approx. 5-7 hours ascent)
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Dent Blanche hut
- At about 04:00 a.m. (depending on season) start of the tour with your private mountain guide
- Ascent: about 5 hours
- Descent to the Dent Blanche hut: approx. 4 hours
- Descent from the Dent Blanche hut to Ferpècle: about 5 hours
- Afterwards return journey to Zermatt

You will need to be very well acclimatized and have good endurance for this demanding peak. You must also have experience in other 4’000 meter peaks and have experience climbing with crampons. Alpine climbing in degree 3 to 4 should not be a problem for you.

With a private mountain guide:
- CHF 1‘905.00 for 1 person from the Dent Blanche hut
A deposit of CHF 100.00 per person (included in this price) for all the 2-days will be required. This amount is non-refundable (even if you cancel the tour early or if the weather on the day is bad and the tour cannot be postponed).
ADDITIONAL COSTS:
- Transportation costs to Ferpècle with a car about CHF 150.00
- With the public transportation for you and your mountain guide about CHF 144.00 per person return ticket
- Overnight stay and half board at the Dent Blanche hut CHF 87.00 per person
- Rental equipment: between CHF 50.00 and CHF 70.00 available in a sports shop in Zermatt

REMARK:
The ascent of the Dent Blanche is a demanding high altitude climb. Please inform us, when you book, which other 4’000 meters peaks you have climbed and what other alpine experience you have (Kilimanjaro and Mont-Blanc are not comparable to the Dent Blanche as they are not rock tours)
We strongly recommend a training climb with a mountain guide. The preparation tours can also be done in a group, as long as another person has registered for it
