SWISS MOUNTAIN TRAINING 2 (SMT 2)
Requirement: you have completed Module 1 / Safety & Avalanches or you can demonstrate the required knowledge.
DURATION:
2 days, approx. 6 hours per day

In a group:
- Every Saturday and Sunday
starting from 10 December 2022
MEETING POINT:
08:15 Meeting point with your mountain guide at the Matterhorn Express station in front of Dorsaz Sport, at level of the gondola station or by arrangement with your guide, with skis / snowboard
CONTENT & OBJECTIVES :
The module “WINTER 2: MANAGEMENT OF AVALANCHE RISKS” is a two-day course that imparts the following learning objectives
- Reiteration of the knowledge from Module 1 | Safety & Avalanches
- Ability to plan an excursion into the mountains
- Enhancement of knowledge of the 3x3 method (conditions – terrain – people)
- Raising awareness of the protection of fauna and flora
- Knowing how to estimate and measure slope inclination
- Knowing how to apply the graphic reduction method
- Awareness of behaviors that can reduce risks
- Ability to perform a rescue operation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Very good on piste skier
- Completed SMT 1 course or able to prove necessary knowledge
- In a group: minimum 15 years
RATES:
- Group course for 4 or more people CHF 420.00 per person
SERVICES INCLUDED :
- Course instructor for 2 days: Certified ZERMATTERS mountain guide (UIAA – International Federation of Mountain Guides/IFMGA)

ADDITIONAL COST:
- Ski pass: from CHF 79.00 per day
- Lunch
- Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, airbag can be picked up at our office for a special rate of CHF 40.00 (per person) from 05:00 p.m. the day before.The rented material must be returned after the course to the office at 05:00 p.m. at the latest.
