CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES :
The module “WINTER 1: SAFETY & AVALANCHES” is a one-day course that imparts the following learning objectives
- Familiarizing yourself with your equipment
- Understanding the Avalanche Bulletin
- Knowing how to wear your avalanche transceiver and how it works
- Awareness of the main winter hazards (avalanches, cold, weather hazards, disorientation, falls, etc.)
- Introduction to the 3x3 method
- Recognizing the four typical avalanche situations and being able to answer the following question: “What is the greatest danger today?”
- Understanding the general risk reduction measures (“Safer Six”)
- Being able to perform a simple rescue
REQUIREMENTS:
- Very good on piste skier
RATES :
- Private course: CHF 740.00 for 1-2 persons (+ CHF 40.00 for every additional person)
SERVICES INCLUDED :
- Certified ZERMATTERS mountain guide (UIAA – International Federation of Mountain Guides/IFMGA)

ADDITIONAL COST:
- Ski pass: from CHF 79.00 per day
- Lunch
- Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, airbag can be picked up at our office for a special rate of CHF 40.00 (per person) from 05:00 p.m. the day before.The rented material must be returned after the course to the office at 05:00 p.m. at the latest.
